The Cologne International Furniture Fair

Furniture Fair in Cologne is the first meeting of experts of the year in this industry and it takes place in every January. In 2009, there were 1047 exhibitors (including a share of 61% international from 49 countries) in an area of 245,500 square meters divided in 16 halls.

Cologne Furniture Fair is also called IMM Cologne an acronym coming from Internationale Möbelmesse. It is the world's leading furniture exhibition. At the IMM Cologne new trends in this industry are presented. Young innovative companies from Germany and abroad will present their new ideas in the field of furniture design. There will be over 1,000 exhibitors from over 45 countries present. This furniture fair is for the meeting of the big names with creative newcomers, for the birth of new trends and visions, for the transformation of innovative design ideas in international sales successes, for making new contacts and exchanging ideas.

The contents of the Cologne Furniture Fair are divided into seven categories: basic (International Basics - living room and bedroom furniture), design talents (living exhibition of young design), prime (and) Bedroom Furniture (Modern & Design, style & reproduction furniture ), comfort (upholstered furniture - sofas, armchairs couches, single sofas, couches function), smart (Young Living, Self-Service), furniture, sleep (Mattresses and sleeping systems, beds, water beds, bedding, linens and accessories) and pure (Modern, avant-garde Furniture design, complete living philosophies).

Cologne Furniture Fair will be held from January 19 to January 24, 2010.
